Did you know that hunger is a prevalent issue in Marquette?
The goal of Marquette Ending Hunger is to raise awareness about rural poverty, fund raise directly to aid those in need and lessen the impact of poverty in Marquette!
According to the 2010 U.S. Census Bureau, 14.8% of the City of Marquette lives below the poverty level.
This is a significant and inherent issue in our community, and we are choosing to take action in order to bring about a positive change.
We would like to involve the student body of Northern Michigan University as well as the community of Marquette in our endeavors!
